Dr. M. Qaiser Fatmi received his doctoral degree in the field of computational chemistry and molecular modeling from the University of Innsbruck. Later on, he worked at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi as a Research Officer. He joined University of California, Riverside, USA to pursue his post-doctoral research studies. After his post-doctoral studies, he was hired by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan to serve Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad as a short-term visiting foreign faculty. Currently, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of Biosciences, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), and leading Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Group (CBBG) at the Department. His research interests include modeling and molecular dynamics simulations of metal and protein complexes, structure and ligand based drug design, structural bioinformatics, database and tools development and computational chemistry. He has thoroughly supervised the design and development of the ChemDP.
